The bird sanctuary is based in Bharatpur region of Rajasthan.

Vedanthangal Bird Sanctuary:

This is the oldest water bird sanctuary in India and is situated in Tamil Nadu. Vedanthangal in Tamil measn – Hamlet of hunter, it was a hunting ground for local landlords in the early 18th century.           It is home to thousands of domestic and migratory birds, some of the common names are: Cormorants, Darter, Moorhen, Night Herons, Paddy Bird, Painted Stork, Pintails, Pond Heron, Sandpiper, Shovellers, Terns, White Ibis and more.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is a very Popular National Park based in Sultanpur, Haryana. It was declared as a national park in 1991. Some popular migratory birds that visit here are: Greater Flamingo, Common Teal and Northern Pintail.

Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary:

Chilka Lake is famous for its beautiful brackish water and serene view. The area also houses a bird sanctuary where more than 160 species of birds are found. Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary:

Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary is located in Ahmadabad, Gujarat and is the biggest wetland bird sanctuary in India. Horse riding here on the side of the lake while watching birds fly is a unique experience.
